ZTelco Goes Green with New Solar Energy Partners
ZTelco’s Poway Headquarters Now Sporting a New Solar Rooftop
By partnering with Watthub Solar Providers and Kodiak Moon Installation, ZTelco has just announced the completion of a small but significant project, bringing 88 solar panels to their Poway headquarters, located at 12585 Kirkham Ct.
In 2019, ZTelco began working on the plans to bring a 35kW solar system to the city of Poway, California. Since officially flipping the switch, RingPlan’s rooftop has been producing more energy than could be consumed by the 22,000 sq. ft. lot and is putting clean energy back into the city’s grid.
With a system touting 88 solar panels, ZTelco has joined the elite club of solar energy producers, and is adding renewable energy to our local energy grid.
As one can imagine, the energy costs of providing a telecom service can be quite high. Rather than pass cost off to customers, ZTelco is investing in future savings.
The Breakdown of Benefits
Over the next 25 years, RingPlan’s solar project is providing the energy equivalence of removing 118 vehicles from the road and is equivalent to removing 1,160 tons of CO2 from our air.
To put that in perspective, imagine pumping 4,788 gallons of gasoline or charging 11 million cell phones.
Savings are Passed to the Customer
ZTelco has just further secured their infrastructure and has once again put their customers first.
“A solar-enhanced network benefits the community and helps customers feel good about partnering with ZTelco as their service provider.”
— Jake Hansen, President
